Teaching

Meliza is a Music and Languages teacher with experience working with students from all ages, from young children to adults. She is a visiting professor in the Vocal Department for the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.

 In music teaching, Meliza believes in the importance to have a multidisciplinary approach for the student to learn not only the basics of the  instrument but also the theoretical aspects of music for them to gain independence in their musical journey. Every lesson is tailored to the students’ needs and goals.

Meliza works with private students as well as peripatetic tutor with local academies. She prepares students for auditions, competitions, concerts, Trinity and ABRSM exams.

 She also teaches Spanish/English language for foreigners and works as freelance a Translator. She is a Member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) and The Chartered Institute of Languages (CIOL).
